Being finite people with finite minds, it's expected that it would be difficult for us to comprehend an infinite and inexhaustible God. However, an issue arises when people aren't even trying to.
As human beings we were meant to bring glory to God, which means to worship Him. Now I know in the tradition sense of the word 'worship', we get an image of someone bowing down and waving their arms up and down towards something. But really, in essence, EVERYONE is constantly worshiping something.
You might not be on your knees but you worship anything by giving attention to it (the most basic terminology I could think of). Think about it. Most of the time we worship ourselves. From the moment we wake up, we begin doing things for ourselves. We brush our teeth, have breakfast, go to school or work, watch TV, etc. All these things are for OUR benefit. We are serving OURSELVES.
We also worship other people and things. We're desperate to catch up on the latest celebrity gossip. We fall head over heels in love and all of a sudden that significant other is the only thing we see. We get a PS3 and spend more time with that than our own family. We are constantly giving our time, attention and care to SOMETHING.
Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying you should stop eating and lock yourself in your room. All the examples I've given are not necessarily bad things. But we have a problem when our love for ourselves surpasses our love for God. We have a problem when our attention to people and things supersedes our attention to the one who created them.
So I'll leave you with this. We constantly see superstars and big shots glorifying themselves and thinking they are the best thing since the internet and we constantly get sucked into how 'great' they appear to be. They think that they are 'da Man' but are they really that amazing? Did any of them make the earth in six days? Did any of them cause a global flood? Do any of them heal sicknesses and diseases? But most of all...did any of them die for you?
Who really deserves your attention? Who really deserves your worship? The world?...or the God who made it?
