Turn My Life Up

Oftentimes, I find I get to a stage in my life where I just seem to be 'drifting' through. Its kind of like summer, when everyone gets a bit tired and lazy. Everything's relaxed and quiet. But is that really the way to go?

As Christians, God doesn't want us to just 'float' through life. Since we now represent Christ, God wants us to be like sound system speakers, declaring and portraying His glory and the Good News of the cross. We're supposed to be loud and full of life. However, the sad truth is that it seems like a lot of us have been set to a very low volume...in fact some of us are even on mute.

Now don't get me wrong. I'm not saying you need to walk around screaming in peoples' faces. I'm saying that when people look at you and examine your conduct, they should be able to see Jesus bursting out of you, loud and clear. They shouldn't have to search deep to find Christ living within you. Your Christianity should be apparent and obvious for everyone to see.

I need God to turn my life up. And you need the same. If there are people that you have known for years and they still don't know about your passion for God then, no offense, but I wouldn't call it a passion. You need to turn your life up. If you have close friends who you know that if they died today, they wouldn't be spending eternity with God, then you need to turn your life up. Our love for God should be a fire in our bones and be loud for all to see.

Don't be content with living at a 2, 5 or even an 8. Live at a 10. Turn your life up.
